VK2RH de GM3BST. GM OM – I had to give up amateur radio about three years ago due to health problems and I now live in a sort of care-home – nice place. I sold all my gear except my KX1 and I now have the opportunity to use it -= but I have long forgotten how. The info on your web-site KX1 Quick Reference has cured that!!
Many thanks OM, it is just what I wanted.
I am now 92 years old, disabled and can’t get out much, but this is going to be fun.
    MANY THANK OM

    Hi John,
So glad to hear you’re enjoying getting back on the air with the KX1. All credit for that KX1 Quick Reference (and the other resources linked off this page) goes of course to Elecraft.
I imagine the KX1 is just the thing for you to be able to get a taste of operating again. It must be amazing comparing the size and function of the little radio with the equipment you would have been using before the war. Do you miss the smell of the spark? My grandfather was a ship’s sparks between 1917 and 1920.
